Robert Clark Gregg (born April 2, 1962 in Boston ) is an American actor .

biography

Clark Gregg grew up in Chapel Hill ( North Carolina on). He attended Ohio Wesleyan University and then moved to the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University . His acting career began in 1988 with minor roles in various films. Since then he has worked in numerous films and has had various guest appearances in television series such as Law & Order and Sex and the City . From 2006 to 2010, he starred with Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine .

From 2008 he took on the role of SHIELD agent Phil Coulson in various film adaptations of Marvel comics such as Iron Man , Iron Man 2 , Thor and Marvel's The Avengers . In the same role he appeared in the television series The Ultimate Spider-Man since 2012 and appeared in Marvel's Agents of SHIELD since September 2013 . In the film Captain Marvel (2019) he played this role in a movie for the first time since 2012. In 2013 he won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor in this role .

Gregg has been married to actress Jennifer Gray since 2001 . The couple has one child.

In most series and films, his German dubbing voice is that of Till Hagen .
