Lorenzo Bosisio
Lorenzo Bosisio (born September 24, 1944 in Marmirolo ) is a former Italian cyclist .
In 1967 Lorenzo Bosisio was third in the team time trial at the road world championships together with Benito Pigato , Vittorio Marcelli and Flavio Martini . In the following year he started at the Olympic Games with Cipriano Chemello , Luigi Roncaglia , Giorgio Morbiato and Gino Pancino in the team pursuit and won bronze behind the Danish and German track four. The race ended with a scandal because the German team was disqualified in the final run (see gold foursome ). However, the Italian team rejected the silver medal they had been awarded. A few weeks later Bosisio took part in the track world championships in the single and in the team pursuit ; with the team (Chemello, Luigi Roncaglia, Morbiato) he became world champion, and in the single pursuit he won bronze. Then he became a professional .
In 1970 Bosisio became vice world champion in the single pursuit.
