The Lubach ( called Laubach in the upper reaches ) is a 4.9 km long, southeastern and orographically right tributary of the warmth in the northern Hessian district of Kassel .
course
The stream rises as a Laubach in the Hohen Habichtswald within the Habichtswald Nature Park . Its source is located about 2 km south-southeast of the Habichtswald district of Dörnberg, about 400 m west-northwest from the summit of the Wuhlhagen (approx. 565 m above sea level ) at an altitude of about 530 m .
Initially, the Laubach flows, leaving the Habichtswald and passing the small opencast mine Höllchen about 200 m to the west, north-northwest down to Dörnberg, which is located in the natural area Dörnbergpass south below the Hohen Dörnberg ( 578.7 m ). In the village it partly runs in the sewer system - passing Bundesstraße 251 (Wolfhager Straße) a little west-southwest of the village church - including along Laubachstraße . Then the Kressenborn joins the Kressenborn near the lowest mill .
The flowing water called Lubach from there then flows north-west into the agriculturally used Habichtswälder depression , in which it passes the desert Leutzewarden (Lutwardessen) to the south . Shortly afterwards the Lubach flows into the warmth coming from the south at a height of 274.5 m .
Catchment area and tributaries
The catchment area (EZG) of the Lubach is 10.83 km²; 1.99 km² of this is accounted for by the Laubach EZG and 8.84 km² by the Lubach EZG.
Its 2.7 km long tributary is by far the longest tributary of the orographic right Kressenborn , which flows into the northern edge of the village Dörnberg an der Untersten Mühle at the transition from Laubach to Lubach at Lubach-kilometer 2.1 from the east and is 3.74 km² in size Has catchment area.
Watershed
The headwaters of the Laubach or Lubach are located on the Fulda and Diemel watershed , which is part of the Diemel-Eder / Fulda / Weser watershed . While the water of the Lubach, which mainly flows in a north-westerly direction, drains through the Warme and Diemel into the Weser , that of the ancestor , which rises on the Essigberg and runs in an easterly direction, flows through the Fulda to the Weser.
