Müglitz is a district of the Saxon town of Altenberg in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

Müglitz is located in the Eastern Ore Mountains , right on the border with the Czech Republic and about 2 km from Fürstenau and Fürstenwalde . It borders directly on being faithful to God .

history

Müglitz emerged as a settlement for Bohemian exiles in the 17th century. It has always been a part of Fürstenau . The name was given to the place after the river Müglitz , whose name is derived from mogyla (burial mound) and which in turn was named after Mügeln . In the past, Müglitz in Saxony was only the smaller part of the village. Two thirds of the corridor (26 houses, 88 inhabitants), on the other hand, was in Mohelnice (Bohemian-Müglitz), which today belongs to Krupka (Graupen ) . Since Fürstenau became part of Geising in 1994, Müglitz has also belonged to this town. Geising was incorporated into Altenberg on January 1, 2011.
