Mühlthal is one of 37 officially named districts of the Upper Palatinate municipality of Dietfurt an der Altmühl .

history

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the village became part of the independent rural community of Meihern , which also included the parish of Deising and the village of Flügelsberg , as well as the hamlet of Sankt Gregor and the desert of Martlhof . In 1867 Mühltal appears as one of five districts of the Altmühlmünster community in the Riedenburg district court ; At this point the wasteland consists of 2 buildings and 4 residents. In 1900 this community is located in the district court of Riedenburg ; the district of Mühltal now has 8 residents and 1 residential building.

In 1961 Mühlthal had six inhabitants.

In the course of the regional reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , Mühlthal was transferred to the then still independent municipality of Zell on January 1, 1972 , and then six months later it was incorporated into the municipality of Dietfurt.

In 1987 the population was 5 with one residential building.

The connection to the public road network is established by a communal road that branches off from the NM 23 district road about one kilometer northwest of the town in Zell .
