Life

Martin Schneider grew up in Burgholzhausen , a district of Friedrichsdorf . He now lives near Marburg . Initially, Schneider completed an internship at the Hessischer Rundfunk . There he made his first attempts at cabaret. In 1990 his first stage engagement took place. His first program was called: "Gell, you are spiritual?" . From 1992 he appeared in the Quatsch Comedy Club , which at that time was still a theater in Hamburg . Later he could also be seen in various television programs such as RTL Saturday Night and in guest appearances in 7 days, 7 heads and Genial besides . He was a permanent member of the Comedy Factory (1996/1997) on ProSieben . From 2004 to 2011 Martin Schneider was an integral part of the Sat.1 comedy show Schillerstrasse . During his appearances under the stage name Maddin , Martin Schneider tends to speak an exaggerated New Hessian . The extended pronounced and idiosyncratic accented sounds are a caricature of the dialect and the Hessian idiom . “Aschebeschär” (with a voiced “sh”, for: ashtray) has also become a popular word thanks to Schneider. Its external trademarks are its particularly pronounced face shape and mouth.

Martin Schneider has published several CDs ( Aschebeschär , Sischär Is Sischär ! , Raggae Mann , Best Of Maddin ) as well as the books Im Bett mit Maddin and Mach mal Hals lang .
