The Madleinalpe is an alpine pasture in Verwall in Tyrol. It belongs to the municipality of Ischgl in Paznaun , Landeck district .

Location and landscape

The alp is north-west above the town of Ischgl . It is an extensive alpine area in a Karkessel with a diameter of 3½ kilometers. The alpine huts are around 1610  m above sea level. A. , from there the pastures extend north-east up into the cirque, which is semicircular from Lattenkopf  ( 2454  m above sea level ), Madleinkopf  ( 2907  m above sea level , the local mountain of Ischgl), the Schönpleisköpf (north  2243  m above sea level) A. , southern  2920  m above sea level ), Küchlspitze  ( 3147  m above sea level ), Rautekopf  ( 2825  m above sea level ), the Seeköpf (northern 3061  m above sea level ) and the Mutmanör  (summit 2723  m above sea level ) m above sea level ) is enclosed.

On the Madleinalpe lies at 2437  m above sea level. A. the Madleinsee , which then drains over the Madleinbach into the valley. There are other small cirque lakes on the Alm.

History, management and development

The Alpe is an alpine interest group that arose from a number of small alms, some of which have been preserved as pre-alps.

The Mutmanör, the orographic left edge of the boiler, and a little less dangerous cats Krätzer, the right flank, the starting zones of are Madleinlawine , the avalanche that has to Ischgl threatened and alone eight times out in the last century serious damage. In particular, the Mutmanör was extensively in recent years installed .

From Ischgl up via the Madleinsee and the Doppelseescharte  ( 2786  m a.s.l. ) to the north, you reach the Darmstädter Hütte , also a little more impassable via the Rautejöchli  ( 2757  m a.s.l. ). The Schönpleisjöchli  ( 2809  m above sea level. A. ) carries over into the Fasultal and St. Anton Verwalltal .
