This article is a recap of the 2005 Major League Soccer season .

In 2005 Major League Soccer celebrated its 10th anniversary. The 10th season began April 2, 2005 and ended on November 13, 2005 with the 2nd championship of the LA Galaxy . The clubs Real Salt Lake and CD Chivas USA took part in the MLS for the first time. Dallas Burn opened its new Pizza Hut Park , in August.
