Manuela Ruben
Manuela Ruben (born January 14, 1964 in Lauda , Baden-Württemberg ) is a former German ice and roller art skater .
biography
Manuela Ruben started for the Mannheim ERC , where she was a competitor of her club mate Claudia Leistner for years . Ruben, Carola Paul and Katarina Witt were the first individual skaters at the 1981 World Figure Skating Championships to show the triple flip in their freestyle. Her greatest success was winning the silver medal at the European Championships in 1984. After completing her amateur career, she toured Germany with Theater On Ice in what was then the revue "The Merry Widow". She now has two daughters. On November 3, 2018, her younger sister Nicole died.
