Career

society

Hilßner started his career at the age of five with SG Rotation Leipzig , moved to FC Sachsen Leipzig in 2004 and to the Werder Bremen youth team in 2009 . There he moved up to the second team for the 2013/14 season , for which he played in the Regionalliga Nord . In the 2014/15 season he and the team made the leap into the 3rd division after successful promotion games . On September 26, 2015 Hilßner was in the first team of Werder Bremen for the first time and made his debut in a 3-0 home defeat against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Bundesliga , after being substituted on for Levin Öztunali in the 56th minute . For the 2016/17 season Hilßner moved to the second division Dynamo Dresden , for whom he was used eight times during the season.

In August 2017 Hilßner moved to third division Hansa Rostock , with whom he signed a two-year contract. He made his competitive debut for the Ostseestädter on August 14, 2017 in the DFB Cup match against Hertha BSC , which was lost 2-0. In his first season in Rostock, Hilßner made 18 appearances and four goals in the league and one appearance in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Cup , which Hansa won in the final against FC Mecklenburg Schwerin (2-1). A cruciate ligament torn during training at the end of February 2018 prevented further missions in the 2017/18 season. He finally made his comeback on October 5, 2018 in the league game against Karlsruher SC . By the end of the 2018/19 season , Hilßner made another 20 appearances in the third division for the Ostseestädter - he scored two goals - and one appearance in the second main round of the DFB Cup against Bundesliga club 1. FC Nürnberg (4-6 a. E.). At the end of the season he was again the state cup winner of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and then left Hansa Rostock.

For the 2019/20 Bundesliga season , the offensive player signed a contract with the promoted SC Paderborn 07 until June 2021 . Under coach Steffen Baumgart , Hilßner was not considered in the first men's team during the first half of the season, but received ten missions (three goals) in the Paderborn reserve team in the Oberliga Westfalen . In order to gain match practice at a higher level, Hilßner was awarded back to the 3rd league to Halleschen FC at the end of January 2020 until the end of the season . There he was used regularly on both offensive wings, but could not recommend himself for a regular place. Hilßner scored two goals, prepared two more and held the class with the club.

After the end of the loan arrangement, the offensive player initially returned to Paderborn, but was then sold to the second division promoted Coventry City in England in mid-July 2020 . The transfer will formally take place on July 27th, as the transfer window will not open until then in England.

National team

Hilßner played from the U16 to the U19 for the youth national teams of the DFB and scored 8 goals in 28 games.
