Mark Keller (born May 5, 1965 in Überlingen ) is a German actor and singer .

Life

Mark Keller, whose real name is Marko Keller, first completed an apprenticeship as a car mechanic, then from 1985 to 1987 he studied for three semesters at the Freiburg Drama School . He was then drafted into the Bundeswehr and worked there for three years as the lead singer of the big band .

Mark Keller's breakthrough came in 1989 when he impersonated Dean Martin on the Rudi Carrell Show . After winning the show's competition, he got the role of entertainer Christoph in the ARD series Stars of the South , directed by Berengar Pfahl . For five years (1990–1995) they shot in many countries and Mark Keller sang the theme song of the popular series. In 1992 and 1993 he released various CDs.

Keller was best known for his role as Commissioner André Fux in the RTL action series Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei . He returned to the series in 2013 for a pilot. He also stood in front of the camera for the crime series Tatort at the side of Manfred Krug from 1993 to 1995 and acted as a leading or supporting actor in various television series, such as Die Wache or Behind Gittern - Der Frauenknast .

In April 2000, Mark Keller made his cinema debut in a leading role with the movie I love you baby . He and Jasmin Gerat played a petty criminal couple who dreams of big money and happiness. Other films with Mark Keller included a .: Snowstorm in spring (1995), heart quake , Shattered dreams (both 1998), A father alone (1999), Now or never - time is money (2000), Little man seeks a big heart , love under white sails (both 2001), Novaks Ultimatum (2003), Barefoot (2005) and Heads or Tails (2007 where his younger son Joshua also plays). He has also played a permanent supporting role in the ZDF hit series Der Bergdoktor since 2008 .

In Helene Fischer's Christmas show, which was broadcast on December 25, 2014 , he sang a movie medley in a duet with her. Together they interpreted songs from the pieces "Breakfast at Tiffany's", "The Clumsy", "The Wizard of Oz" and other highlights of film history.

Mark Keller lives with his wife Tülin and their sons Aaron and Joshua on Lake Constance .
