Marko Milovanović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Марко Миловановић ; born December 31, 1988 in Belgrade , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian ice hockey player who spent most of his career at HK Partizan Belgrade in the Serbian ice hockey league. Since 2015 he has been president of the Serbian Ice Hockey Federation .

Career

Marko Milovanović began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HK Partizan Belgrade . Since 2004, the striker has played for the club's first team in the Serbian ice hockey league (until 2006: Serbian-Montenegrin ice hockey league) and was national champion with the team in 2006, 2007 and 2008. At the same time, he also took part with his team in the multinational Pannonian league in the 2007/08 season and was runner-up there. The following season he moved to HK Vojvodina Novi Sad and played for the team from the southern Batschka also in the Serbian ice hockey league and the Pannonian league, which Milovanović's team won. He returned to his parent club in 2009 and won the Serbian championship title again in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. In the 2012/13 season he was also named the best scorer in the Serbian league, in 2014/15 he was the second best preparer of the league after Dmitri Gnitko from HK Beostar . At the same time, he played with his club in the Slohokej League , which was dominated by Slovenia and won the 2011 and 2012 team. In addition, Milovanović was awarded as the best striker in the Slokokej League in the 2009/10 season, when his team lost in the playoff final to HDK Stavbar Maribor . He was loaned to HK Belgrade for the playoffs of the 2016/17 season.

International

For Serbia and Montenegro, Milovanović took part in the Division II competitions of the U-18 World Championships in 2003 , 2004 , 2005 and 2006 and the U-20 World Championships in 2005 . After the breakaway of Montenegro, he took part in the U-20 World Cup 2008 in Division III for the all-Serbian team . There he and his team were promoted to Division II.

In the men's area, Milovanović made his international debut in November 2004 in qualifying for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin in the Serbian-Montenegrin selection . He then worked for the Serbian team and played with them in 2007 , 2009 , 2011 , 2012 when he was named best player on his team, in 2013 , 2015 , 2016 and 2017 when he was again voted best player on his team Division II. After the Serbs at the home tournament in Novi Sad in 2009 for the first time the promotion, Milovanović played with his team in 2010 in Division I, but had to accept the immediate relegation. He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournaments for the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang 2018 . The Serbs prevailed undefeated in the pre-qualification, with the decisive game against Spain being won 5: 3 and Milovanović scored the decisive goal to make it 4: 3 a good two and a half minutes before the end. In the first qualifying round that followed, the team had to acknowledge the superiority of Italy , Great Britain and the Netherlands , against each of which they lost significantly. From 2015 Milovanović was the captain of the Serbian selection.

Coaching career

In addition to his playing career, Milovanović began to work as a coach. At the 2014 Division II World Cup , he was assistant coach for the Serbian national team.
