Euriad

The Euriade is an international festival of dialogue in the Eurode and the Euregio Meuse-Rhine organized annually since 1975 by the “Stichting Euriade” (Dutch association) and the Euriade eV .

Events

As part of this festival, various classical music performances and music competitions , a series of youth in dialogue with young people from the Euregio Meuse-Rhine and other countries ( Austria , Russia , Ukraine, South Africa, Palestine, Croatia etc.), concerts, readings and art exhibitions take place instead of. The venues include the Rolduc Abbey ( Kerkrade , Netherlands), Rode Castle ( Herzogenrath ), the Alte Kurhaus Aachen , and other venues in the Netherlands and Germany. From January 27th to 28th, 2008 the Stichting Euriade held a Charlemagne Festival on the subject of liberation from Auschwitz in Aachen , Heerlen , Kerkrade and Eupen .

Until 2013, the Euriade Foundation regularly organized the Prix ​​amadéo de piano , an international competition for young artists and the AmadèO music festival with classical concerts.

Martin Buber badge

The Stichting Euriade has been awarding the Martin Buber plaque every year since 2002 for special services to humanity. The plaque was designed by the Aachen artist Martha Klems .
