Martin Karl Georg Heipertz (born December 11, 1976 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German economist , politician ( CDU ), ministerial advisor and writer.

Life

Martin Heipertz grew up in Kelkheim-Münster in the Taunus . The son of the former medical director of the Friedrichsheim orthopedic university clinic in Frankfurt, Wolfgang Heipertz, and his wife, sports scientist and author Christine Heipertz-Hengst , passed his Abitur at the Bischof-Neumann-Schule in Königstein im Taunus . He spent a year of his school days at Bloxham School in England.

Professional background

After completing his schooling, Heipertz began his military service and trained as a reserve officer while studying . His current rank is lieutenant colonel in the reserve, ordered the Operational Command of the Bundeswehr .

In Oxford, Bruges, Paris and as a graduate student at the Max Planck Institute for Social Research studied Heipertz philosophy, politics and economics, graduating with a Dr. rer. pole. In Cologne he is also a member of the Corps Franco-Guestphalia. After completing his doctorate, he started working as an economist at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt. In 2008 he served as a construction worker in Kosovo , followed by a military exercise in the planning staff of the Federal Ministry of Defense .

In 2009 he became a civil servant at the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg, before joining the Federal Ministry of Finance in 2010 as Wolfgang Schäuble's deputy office manager . Political career

At the age of 19, Martin Heipertz joined the CDU Kelkheim. After starting his career at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, he became involved in the CDU Frankfurt as an assessor on the board of the Dornbusch district association and as chairman of the “CDU2015” working group. Since 2009 he has been the secretary general of the CDU Hessen commissioned to set up the " virtual network " and since June 2016 its chairman.

For the 2017 Bundestag election he was defeated by Norbert Altenkamp's opponent with his own campaign for nomination as a candidate for the CDU in the Main-Taunus constituency with 44.4% of the vote.
