Martin Patrick Durkin
Martin Patrick Durkin (born March 18, 1894 in Chicago , Illinois , † January 19, 1955 in Washington, DC ) was an American politician ( Democratic Party ) and between January 21, 1953 and September 10 of the same year 7 United States Secretary of Labor .
Martin Patrick Durkin served in the First World War . In 1921 he married Anna H. McNicholas, with whom he had three sons. In 1953 he was briefly a member of the Eisenhower cabinet as labor minister .
