Charles Sinclair Weeks (born June 15, 1893 in West Newton , Middlesex County , Massachusetts , † February 7, 1972 in Concord , Massachusetts) was an American politician and Secretary of Commerce of the United States from January 21, 1953 to November 10, 1958 under President Dwight D. Eisenhower .

Weeks received his Ph.D. from Harvard University , served in 1916 on the border between the US and Mexico with the National Guard and the First World War . In addition to his political activities, he worked as a businessman in several industries well into old age. Weeks was a member of the Republican Party . Between 1930 and 1935 he became Mayor of Newton . In February 1944, Weeks became the US Senator for Massachusetts when the governor named him after Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr. resigned from serving in World War II. In December 1944, Weeks was elected as the new Senator from Massachusetts, but he did not accept the election. He was a member of the Republican National Committee between 1941 and 1953 and treasurer of the party between 1940 and 1944. Weeks' father, John Wingate Weeks (1860-1926) was a US Congressman and Senator for Massachusetts and Secretary of War between 1921 and 1925.
