Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States

Dwight D. Eisenhower was the first of the Republican Party asked President of the United States since 1933. He sat in the presidential election in 1952 unchallenged against Democrat Adlai Stevenson by; four years later it came to this duel again, with Eisenhower winning even more clearly.

During Eisenhower's tenure, the Ministry of Health, Education and Welfare was created as a new agency .
