Cleveland II Cabinet
Grover Cleveland is the only president in United States history to serve two non-contiguous terms. After his victory in 1884 and defeat by Benjamin Harrison four years later , the Democrat returned to the White House as the 1892 election winner , where he remained for another four years. It was not until 1913 that Woodrow Wilson , a Democrat, was elected president again.
There was no continuity in terms of personnel compared to Cleveland's first term in office. Not a single minister was nominated again. The previous list of ministers can be found under Cleveland I Cabinet .
With Walter Q. Gresham , a Republican also belonged to the new cabinet . Gresham, previously Secretary of the Post and Treasury under Chester A. Arthur , had supported Cleveland in the run-up to the election. He took over the Foreign Ministry, but died in May 1895.
