Matthias Grimm
Matthias Grimm , sometimes listed as "Mathias Grimm" (* 21st December 1943 in Wernigerode , † 15. March 2020 ) was a German actor , radio play and voice actor , dubbing author , dialogue director and writer .
Life
The son of actress Helga Grimm received his artistic training from Else Bongers . He became known to a wide audience through his role as "Padua" in the ZDF series Der Kurier der Kaiserin . For 26 episodes he played the officer boy "Padua", companion of "Lieutenant Rotteck" embodied by Klausjürgen Wussow . Two years earlier, Grimm had already played a leading role in a series as “Niko Farell” in the circus of my life alongside Benno Sterzenbach and Luise Ullrich . Nevertheless, his other appearances in film and television productions were largely limited to supporting roles, such as in the comedies Klassenkeile and Das knocks the strongest twin, as well as episode roles in television series such as Der Fuchs von Övelgönne , St. Pauli-Landungsbrücken , Derrick , Algebra um Acht , Hamburg Transit and police radio calls .
Instead, Grimm worked extensively for several decades as a speaker, author and director for radio plays and film dubbing . For example, he lent the magician “Orko” his voice for the Masters of the Universe adaptations of the radio play label EUROPA . He has also acted as a spokesperson for other well-known series by this label such as Demonenkiller , TKKG and Five Friends . He also dubbed the shady “Mr. Raines ”in the German adaptation of the television series Pretender , for which he worked as a dialogue writer and director at Studio Hamburg Synchron and Cinephon between 1997 and 2002 . In this role, he also oversaw the Enid Blyton- oriented adventure series and the Danish comedy Blinkende Lichter , for which he was awarded the German Synchronous Award in 2002.
In 2014 his novels Let the Children Come to Me ... and The Hell of Tendrara - The Rat Lines were published.
Matthias Grimm was married to the actress and voice actress Renate Pichler . He died in March 2020 at the age of 76.
