Meinsdorf is a district of the municipality Niederer Fläming in the district of Teltow-Fläming ( Brandenburg ).

geography

The Angerdorf Meinsdorf is located in the hilly eastern Fläming on the edge of the forest. Typical three- and four-sided courtyards are grouped around the village green on which a brick church rises.

The place in the city triangle Jüterbog - Herzberg (Elster) - Dahme / Mark in the southeastern area of ​​the municipality Niederer Fläming can be reached via a connecting road from Ihlow-Illmersdorf ( Bundesstraße 102 ) to Schönewalde . There is no rail connection.

history

Meinsdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1346 (as Meynstorff ). At that time the village belonged to the Bärwalde dominion, mostly called Bärwalde . The first owners are in 1346 the nobles von Slautitz, feudal people of the Brandenburg margrave. In 1387 the v. Rehfelde named as the owner. 1396 it is the family v. Schlieben , from 1425 to 1447 the family v. Leipzig . 144879 the von Rauchhaupt owners are proven, 1451/2 the v. Waldenfels. Already before 1457 it was (again) in the possession of the family v. Leipzig (also Leipziger) who claimed ownership until 1666. After that it was among the v. Leipzig and v. Stutterheim shared. In 1734 Gottfried Emanuel von Einsiedel , royal Prussian lieutenant general, acquired both parts and reunited the rule. After his death in 1745 it came into the possession of his daughter Sophia Dorothea, who was married to Karl Wilhelm von Jeetze , until 1780 . In 1780, the Royal Prussian Chamberlain Joachim Erdmann von Arnim , married to Amalie Caroline nee. Labes the little country Bärwalde. In 1900 Meinsdorf had 290 inhabitants. In 1939, 262 people lived here, and in 2007 there were only 191. At the end of 2011, only 163 people lived in the village.

On January 1, 1979 Bärwalde was incorporated. On December 31, 1997, Meinsdorf merged with 13 other communities to form the new community of Niederer Fläming. The place has been a district since then, the mayor is currently Lutz Seehausen. Since then, Bärwalde has also been part of the Niederer Fläming community.

The parish of Meinsdorf includes - apart from the parish - the branch churches Kossin and Wiepersdorf . It is in the parish of Zossen-Fläming (seat: Zossen) and belongs to the Görlitz district of the Evangelical Church in Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia .

Attractions

  • The village church of Meinsdorf is a neo-Gothic hall church from the years 1853/1854. The church furnishings are largely from the construction period; a fifth from 1611.
  • The Einsiedel column on the western edge of the village, which is a monument to the history of the region in the center of the so-called "Ländchen Bärwalde". Count Gottfried Emanuel von Einsiedel had the "Ländchen" measured for the first time.
  • In the Jewish cemetery there are eleven graves with preserved sandstone grave stones with Hebrew and German inscriptions that survived the Nazi era .
  • The Meinsdorf mill from the 19th century is still in operation.
