format

concept

Unlike in previous years, the 2015 program consisted of only one program. For the first time since 2005, there were no more semifinal broadcasts. In a final with eleven participants, the winner was determined in two voting rounds. In the first round, 100% of the audience decided by televoting which four participants will enter the gold final . In the gold final , the winner will be determined again exclusively by televoting.

For the first time since 1998 there was also a live orchestra that musically supported the performances of the participants.

Attendees

From June 5th, 2014 to September 1st, 2014 contributions could be submitted to NRK . A total of 800 entries were submitted, which is 30% more than in 2014.

On January 21, 2015, NRK presented the eleven participants at a press conference.

final

The final (or finals) took place on March 14, 2015 at the Oslo Spektrum in Oslo . There eleven songs competed against each other. The four top-ranked countries qualified for the gold final. They are highlighted in light green here.
