concept

As in previous years, the preliminary rounds of the Melodi Grand Prix were held in different Norwegian cities. Seven participants were presented per semi-final, of which three artists each qualified for the final in the Oslo Spektrum . In the run-up to the semifinals, 15-second preview clips with the songs of the participants were posted on nrk.no/mgp .

There were then two voting rounds in the final. In the first round, the viewers chose their four favorites for the Gullfinale (gold final) by SMS voting . In the Gullfinale , three regional juries and five different regions of Norway awarded the points to determine the winner.
