Men of Honor ( . English : Men of Honor ) is the second studio album by the American heavy metal / - Hard Rock band Adrenaline Mob . It was released on February 18, 2014 in North America and three days later in the rest of the world via Century Media . Men of Honor is the first and only album with drummer A. J. Pero .

Emergence

In June 2013, the drummer Mike Portnoy left the band for scheduling reasons. Even without a drummer, guitarist Mike Orlando and singer Russell Allen began songwriting for their second studio album. Orlando wrote "13 to 20 songs" by his own admission. Musically, the second album was influenced by more modern bands such as Shinedown or the Foo Fighters .

The recordings took place in October and November 2013 at Sonic Stomp Studio in New York City . The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Mike Orlando . AJ Pero, who was also active in the band Twisted Sister , played the drums . Pero was introduced as a new permanent member at the beginning of December 2013. Guitarist Mike Orlando contributed more to the new album than earlier background vocals . Mixed and mastered was Men of Honor by Mike Orlando.

The band signed a worldwide contract with Century Media, which previously was only responsible for Europe . In the run-up to the release, the band made one song available as a stream every week .

Orlando called Adrenaline Mob a musical gang in an interview .

"No matter what changes, we are men of honor and we will honor this entity until we die."

- Mike Orlando

Feel the Adrenaline is about both a car and the band. At the end of the song, singer Russel Allen built in a small tribute to the late Alice-in-Chains singer Layne Staley . House of Lies refers to variety shows , which Mike Orlando calls a house of lies . Fallin 'to Pieces is dedicated to the victims of Hurricane Sandy .
