Minamiawaji ( Japanese 南 あ わ じ 市 - shi , German 'South Awaji' ) is a city in the south of the island of Awaji in Hyogo Prefecture in Japan . The inhabited island of Nushima is also part of the community .
history
Minamiawaji emerged from the merger of the former communities Mihara, Midori, Seidan ("West Awaji") and Nandan ("South Awaji") on January 11, 2005.
