history

The city of Kasai was formed on April 1, 1967 from the former parishes of Kasai, Hojo and Izumi.

In Kasai is the Buddhist temple Ichijō-ji of the Saigoku pilgrimage route and the Sagami-ji of the New Saigoku pilgrimage route .
