history
A Martinus dictus de Missewitz was first mentioned in 1258 . The alley-like peasant hamlet on block and strip-floor mixed joke was Castrum and later to Erbamt duly Meissen. The basic rule exercised the cathedral chapter of Meissen. The place was parish to Zehren and today belongs to the local parish . Between 1856 and 1875, Mischwitz belonged to the Meißen court office, then to the office of the same name . In 1900 the area of Mischwitz was 89 hectares . In 1925, 62 Evangelical Lutheran citizens and two Catholics out of 66 residents lived in the village. On November 1, 1935, Mischwitz was incorporated into Zehren and, as a result of the district reform in 1952, it became part of the Meissen district , which was formed from the administrative authorities and expanded several times after the reunification. Diera and Zehren merged on January 1st, 1999 to form Diera-Zehren , since then Mischwitz has been a part of this municipality.
