Attractions
The church of St. Zeno and Apollonia stands on a hill planted with vines, which can be seen from afar . Instead of the Gothic building , it was erected between 1841 and 1843 in a classicist style .
Missian is known for the three castles that lie above the town. These are Hocheppan Castle with the Romanesque frescoes of the Hocheppan Castle Chapel , Boymont Castle and Korb Castle . The aristocratic residences are connected to one another by the 3-Castles hiking trail . On the steeply sloping moraine hill southeast of the church there was also the ancestral castle of Mr. Fuchs von Fuchsberg , of which only a few remains have been preserved.
The Missianer Dorfplatz in front of the church with Widum and the former sacristan's house is an idyllic place that invites you to linger.
