Monika Bittner , married. Häring , (born January 29, 1988 in Peißenberg ) is a former German ice hockey player who was under contract with ESC Planegg in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga for many years .

Career

Monika Bittner came to ice hockey through her two older brothers at the age of four and later played in the youth division of TSV Peißenberg , before playing in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga for SC Riessersee from 2003 . From 2008 she played for the ESC Planegg in the Bundesliga and was also accepted into the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr . With the ESC Planegg she won in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, the German Cup , in 2010 the DEB-Pokal Women and in 2010 the Elite Women's Hockey League .

During the 2003/2004 season she made her debut for the women's B national team, and from 2004 she was part of the extended squad of the German women's national ice hockey team . In 2007 she completed her first world championship, where she finished eighth with the national team. At the 2008 Women's Ice Hockey World Championship , she was relegated to Division I with the national team. At the World Cup of Division I in 2011 , Bittner was instrumental in the promotion to the top division with four goals.

Further participation in world championships followed in 2013 , and in February 2013 Bittner qualified with the national team for the 2014 Winter Olympics . At the end of 2014 she finished her studies with a Bachelor of Arts International Management degree .

In February 2015 she completed her 200th international match for Germany, making her one of the German national record players . After the World Cup in Division I in 2016 , in which she was promoted to the top division with the national team, she ended her international career after 225 international matches. A year later, Bittner resigned from competitive sports after her seventh championship title.
