Myron Boadu (born January 14, 2001 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch professional footballer who is used as a striker. He has been in the Eredivisie squad of AZ Alkmaar since the 2017/18 season .
Career
society
Myron Boadu, whose parents are from Ghana , started playing football at the Amsterdam amateur club SC Buitenveldert and moved to AZ Alkmaar in 2013 . In September 2016 he played his first game for the reserve team in the third division and rose with them to the second highest Dutch division in 2017. He has been part of the professional team since the beginning of the 2017/18 season, but missed most of the season due to injury. On May 6, 2018, he was used for the first time in the Eredivisie in the 6-0 home win against PEC Zwolle when he was substituted for Mats Seuntjens at the age of 17 . He scored a total of three goals in the first four match days of the 2018/19 season before injuring himself on match day five and thus missing most of the rest of the season. On April 20, 2019, the 31st matchday, he played again in the Eredivisie. He made eight league appearances in the 2018/19 season. AZ Alkmaar qualified with fourth place in the table for the second qualifying round for the Europa League 2019/20 and finally for the group stage. Boadu is a regular striker here and in Eredivisie games.
