Henri Weigelt (born January 17, 1998 in Bielefeld ) is a German football player .

Career

The defender began his career with TSV Oerlinghausen and moved in 2010 into the youth academy of Arminia Bielefeld . With the B-Jugend, he was promoted to the U-17 Bundesliga in 2014 . Two years later he made promotion to the U-19 Bundesliga with the A-youth , where he also took over the position of team captain. Henri Weigelt made his professional debut on March 17, 2017 in Arminia Bielefeld's second division game against 1. FC Kaiserslautern when he was substituted on for Manuel Prietl . On May 11, 2017, he received his first professional contract. This runs until 2019.

In July 2018 Weigelt moved to the Dutch first division club AZ Alkmaar , with whom he signed a contract with a term until June 30, 2021.
