Marco Bizot (born March 10, 1991 in Hoorn ) is a Dutch football goalkeeper . He is under contract with AZ and is part of the extended squad of the Dutch national team .

Career

society

Bizot began playing football at SV Westfriezen and later moved to the Ajax Amsterdam youth academy . In 2009 he was promoted to the second team "Jong Ajax" and later played for SC Cambuur and FC Groningen before joining KRC Genk in Belgium in 2014 . During his three years in Genk , he was always in the top third of the table with the club and played in the UEFA Europa League in the 2016/17 season . In the summer of 2017, Bizot returned to the Netherlands and joined AZ . His contract runs until 2021. In his first season with the club, he qualified for the qualifying round for the UEFA Europa League .

National team

Bizot played six games for the Dutch U-19 national team and two for the U-20 selection .

On August 10, 2011 he completed his first game for the Dutch U-21 national team in the 3-0 defeat in the friendly against Sweden in Landskrona . With the U-21, Bizot took part in the U-21 European Football Championship 2013 and came in the group game against Spain for his only tournament appearance. Bizot made a total of seven appearances for the Dutch U-21 national team.

In March 2018, Bondscoach Ronald Koeman invited Bizot to the Dutch senior team for the first time with his nomination for the provisional squad for the test matches against England and Portugal . He made it into the final squad, but was not used.
