NGC 1792 is a Hubble-type SA (rs) bc spiral galaxy in the constellation Dove in the southern sky , an estimated 46 million light-years away from the Milky Way .
The galaxy was discovered on October 4th, 1826 by the Scottish astronomer James Dunlop .
