NGC 2205 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type I / SB0 in the constellation Pictor the southern sky . It is estimated to be 365 million light years from the Milky Way and about 150,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by John Herschel on December 9, 1836 .
