Naga ( Bikolano Ciudad nin Naga , Filipino Lungsod ng Naga , "City of Naga") is a Filipino city. It is located in the southeastern part of the island of Luzon in the Bicol region in the Camarines Sur province about 280 km southeast of Manila . Bikolano, Filipino / Tagalog and English are spoken.

The discovery of the place by the conquistador Juan de Salcedo can be traced back to the year 1573. The place has only been called Naga since 1919; before that, the place called by the Spaniards was called Nueva Caceres . The inhabitants of Naga are called Nagueños .
