National numbering agency
A national numbering agency (NNA) is the national organization that is responsible for issuing international securities identification numbers (ISINs) for the respective country. These are typically national stock exchanges or securities service providers.
In Germany this function is carried out by Wertpapier-Mitteilungen (WM), in Austria by the Oesterreichische Kontrollbank and in Switzerland by SIX Financial Information .
The Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) is the global umbrella organization and coordinates the work of the NNAs.
