The national division 1998/99 was the 85th season of the highest Luxembourg football league .

Defending champion Jeunesse Esch won the championship for the 26th time. Jeunesse managed to win five championships in a row for the second time. In addition, the team won the ninth double in the club's history by winning the cup . CS Pétange and Spora Luxemburg had to go down to the honorary doctorate.
