Location of Neidschütz in Naumburg (Saale)
|
Neidschütz is a district of Naumburg (Saale) in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt .
location
It is located about 2 km south of Naumburg in the beginning loess hill country around Zeitz , an offshoot of the Leipzig lowland bay .
history
Neidschütz was first mentioned in a document in the period 1181/1186. Judging by the name, this village was built by Slavs . A noble family of the same name von Neitschütz had their headquarters here. The place belonged to the Wettin district office of Eisenberg , which was under the sovereignty of various Ernestine duchies due to several divisions in the course of its existence . The Dompropstei Naumburg also had extensive property in the place.
Until the 20th century, the inhabitants of Neidschütz lived mainly from agriculture and running mills. There were several mills in the village. Due to two sources, these could also be operated during longer dry periods. In 1823, the owner of the upper and willow mill merged the two source drains, so that the Kugelbach was created. The upper mill, which was an oil mill , was converted to grinding grain between 1730 and 1734 . In 1897 a fire broke out in the mill, in which it was severely damaged. In the following years it was rebuilt with the support of various parties and was used for grinding grain until the 1930s. Another mill, the castle mill, was completely destroyed in a fire in 1914 and subsequently demolished.
In 1826 Neidschütz came with the northern part of the Eisenberg district office from the Duchy of Saxony-Gotha-Altenburg to the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen and became part of the Camburg exclave. From 1922 to 1939 the place belonged to the Camburg district department , then to the Thuringian district of Stadtroda until 1948 , then briefly to the district of Jena . During the territorial reform of 1952 in the GDR , the place came to the Naumburg district in the Halle district , whereby its affiliation to Thuringia ended.
