With twelve goals this season in each of the following two seasons, he was one of the most scoring players in the championship and ensured that the club placed in the front midfield. In the 2012 season he had scored twelve goals again by mid-August. On August 20, he still changed clubs and joined the Swedish double winner Helsingborgs IF on loan .
Loan to Helsingborgs IF
At his new club he replaced Alfreð Finnbogason , who had left the club a few days earlier after the end of his loan period for the Netherlands , and made his debut in the 2-0 defeat by Celtic Glasgow in the Champions League qualifying . Here he played again with Sørum. He scored four goals for his club in the 2012/13 UEFA Europa League , including against Hannover 96 .
