Nis-Edwin List-Petersen

Nis-Edwin List-Petersen (born November 25, 1947 in Lügumkloster , North Schleswig , Denmark ) is a deacon , graduate religious educator , library director, composer , musician and author .

life and work

List-Petersen lives in Aabenraa / Denmark . In 1970 List-Petersen passed his exams as a deacon and diploma as religious educator at the Stephansstift (today: Hochschule Hannover - University of Applied Sciences and Arts ) in Hanover . From 1970-71 he was district youth warden in Hanover and in 1971 took over the development and management of the church district youth work Norderdithmarschen in Heide (Holstein) . In 1978 he took over the management of the Jugendhof Knivsberg educational facility . List-Petersen became managing director of the Schleswig-Holstein State Music Council in 1990(in this function also member of the management team of JazzBaltica ) and from 1999 to 2015 library director of the Association of German Libraries in North Schleswig and cultural coordinator of the German minority in Denmark . He has been retired since 2015 . He was the leader and conductor of the music groups “Edwin's Karkenswinger's”, the group “DEKTonium” (1979–99), the “Sønderborg Gospelchoir” (1999–2006) and, from 2007, the “Aabenraa Shantykor”. He is also a member of the lyricists and composers group TAKT .

Since 1981 contributions in radio and television, a. a. musical design of the opening of the German Evangelical Church Days 1987 Frankfurt am Main and 1991 Ruhr area on (ZDF) as well as the closing church service Munich 1993 (ARD) with "DEKTonium". 1989 World premiere of blues cantata and singspiel "Utopia" at the Berlin University of the Arts . 2009 World premiere of an anniversary march for the 275th anniversary of the Aabenraa Rifle Guild / "Aabenraa Skyttelaug" in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark .

voluntary work

List-Petersen practices and has performed numerous voluntary activities. From 1978–1990 he was chairman of the LAG Jugendmusik Schleswig-Holstein, from 1983–1990 chairman of the cultural committee of the German minority in North Schleswig , from 1979–1990 chairman of Miljøforeningen "Kalvø's Venner", from 1997–1999 chairman of the Association of European Cross-Border Commuters VEG, from 2007–2012 vice-president of Træskibs Sammenslutningen and from 2008 to 2014 chairman of the music council of the municipality of Aabenraa / Denmark. From 2009 to 2016 he was a full member for Denmark in the European Maritime Heritage and from 2011 to 2016 chairman of the Cultural Council of the European Maritime Heritage. He has been treasurer of the European Maritime Heritage since 2019.
