Obermühl on the Danube is a village in Upper Austria and locality of the municipality Kirchberg ob der Donau , District Rohrbach im Mühlkreis.
geography
Obermühl on the Danube is 284 m above sea level. A. at the confluence of the Kleine Mühl with the Danube in the Upper Danube Valley , below the Schlögener loop . On the other bank of the Mühl and up the Danube is the Grafenau site of the Niederkappel community .

Today Obermühl an der Donau comprises about 40 buildings along the Mühltal, with about 100 inhabitants.
Because of the backlog of the Danube power plant in Aschach , part of the town flooded and was relocated in 1961/62.
Attractions
- Filial church of the Birth of Mary : built in 1722, late baroque hall church with interior from the Rococo; it belongs to the parish Kirchberg of the dean's office Altenfelden
- Freyer-Körnerkasten: listed granary of the Renaissance, dated 1618, formerly four-storey, today three-storey building with a pinned hipped roof

The most important local company is the paper wholesaler and processor Papierfabrik Obermühl Sonnberger GmbH .

Car ferry Obermühl – Kobling:
The Obermühl– Köbling car ferry is located in Obermühl , the only Danube crossing between Aschach and the Niederranna bridge over the Danube . It is only in operation during the day and in the summer season.
