Ocean City is a census-designated place (CDP) in Okaloosa County in the US state of Florida with 5550 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Ocean City is located on Choctawhatchee Bay and borders the towns of Fort Walton Beach and Cinco Bayou (to the south) and Shalimar (to the east). The CDP is around 40 km south of Crestview and around 60 km east of Pensacola . Ocean City is crossed by Florida State Roads 85 and 188 .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 5550 inhabitants were distributed over 2758 households. The population density was 1353.7 inh / km². 77.4% of the population identified themselves as whites , 9.0% as African American , 0.9% as Indians and 3.9% as Asian Americans . 4.0% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 4.7% to several ethnic groups. 10.1% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .
In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 25.6% of all households lived in 26.9% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 58.6% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.32 people and the average family size was 2.92 people.
23.1% of the population were younger than 20 years, 27.6% were 20 to 39 years old, 29.7% were 40 to 59 years old, and 19.6% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 39 years. 48.5% of the population were male and 51.5% were female.
The median annual income was $ 55,789, with 10.4% of the population living below the poverty line.
In 2000, English was the first language of 94.72% of the population, 3.24% spoke Spanish and 2.04% had another mother tongue.
