Oksino ( Russian О́ксино ) is a village (Selo) in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug in Russia with 339 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

Oksino is located about 35 km as the crow flies southwest of Naryan-Mar , the administrative center of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The place is located on the right bank of the Pechora , at the origin of the Pechora tributary Golubkowski Schar .

As to the administrative division, Oksino belongs to the Sapolyarny rajon . It is also the administrative seat of the municipality of Pustoserski selsowet , which includes Oksino, the village of Kamenka and the settlement of Chongurei .

history

The place arose in the 16th century as a fishing settlement and consisted of six sheds in 1574. In a census of the Pustoserski ujesds in 1679, the place was first mentioned by name as Podoscherskich Oksino tosch ( Подожерских Оксино тож ).

In 1920 Oksino became part of the newly founded Oksinski selsowjet , which was renamed Pustoserski selsowjet in 1924 . In 1928 the seat of the Selsoviet was moved from Pustosersk to Oksino. Oksino has belonged to the Pustoserski rajon since 1929 and was its administrative center after its renaming in 1932 to Nizhne-Pechorski rajon . In 1955 the Rajon was dissolved.

Oksino has been a member of the Sapolyarny rajon since 2005. In 2014 the place celebrated its 440th anniversary.

Infrastructure

The place has a kindergarten, a middle school, an ambulance, a cultural center, a post office, a diesel power station, a bakery and various shops.

Economy and Transport

There is no industry in Oksino. The population is mainly engaged in fishing and dairy farming.

There are no year-round motorable roads to Oksino. In the winter months, the regional roads are only accessible with snowmobiles and amphibious vehicles . There is in winter a regular helicopter link to Naryan-Mar in the summer months there is ferry traffic on the routes Welikowissotschnoje - Laboschskoje - Oksino - Naryan-Mar and Kamenka - Oksino - Naryan-Mar .
