Economy and Infrastructure

The most important national means of transport is air traffic via the airports in Narjan-Mar and the rural settlement of Amderma . There are regular flight connections to Moscow , Saint Petersburg , Arkhangelsk and Pechora . Ship transport also plays an important role, but due to the freezing of the Pechora, it can only be carried out from spring to autumn.
