Oliver Dupont (actor)
Oliver Dupont (* 1970 in Unna ) is a German theater and film actor .
Life
Dupont was born in the Ruhr area and spent most of his childhood and youth in the Sauerland . After obtaining the general university entrance qualification , Dupont first studied German language and literature and philosophy for a few semesters and then completed a commercial training as a bookseller .
As a theater actor, he had festival and guest engagements at the Comödie Duisburg (2000–2006), the Comödie Wuppertal (2000–2006), the Comödie Bochum (2000–2006), and the Contra-Kreis-Theater in Bonn (2006) ), at the Theater an der Kö in Düsseldorf (2009, 2012), at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in Berlin (since 2008), at the comedy Winterhuder Fährhaus in Hamburg (since 2008) and at the Schlossparktheater in Berlin (2011).
Dupont mainly played roles in tabloids . In 2008 he made his debut at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in a stage version of Alfred Hitchcock's classic film The 39 stages , under the direction of and alongside Ingolf Lück ; Dupont played a total of more than twenty different roles in it. Dupont also made guest appearances with this production at the Theater an der Kö, at the comedy Winterhuder Fährhaus and went on tour with this production .
In 2009 he played at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm, at the side of Edith Hancke and Klaus Sonnenschein , the future astrology professor Dr. Thomas Marx in the tabloid comedy Alles Astro . In 2010 he appeared in the classic Boeing, Boeing by Marc Camoletti at the comedy Winterhuder Fährhaus; In it he played the role of Robert, the childhood friend of the banker Bernhard, "wonderfully printed". In 2011, he alternated with Philipp Sonntag, alongside Brigitte Grothum and Dagmar Biener, in the role of the personality disordered nephew Teddy Brewster in the comedy Arsen und Spitzenhäubchen at the Schlosspark Theater in Berlin.
Dupont often worked as an actor in children's theater productions , such as in the title role as Ali Baba or as Prince John in Robin Hood . He also played in several independent theater groups. He led theater groups in which disabled and non-disabled people performed together; there he wrote and staged his own plays.
Oliver Dupont is known from several smaller roles on German television. He reached a larger audience through his appearances in some sketch shows such as Mensch Markus , Weibsbilder and Mannsbilder . In the sketch comedy Mannsbilder Dupont was one of the four leading actors.
Dupont is married and has two children; he lives with his family in Berlin.
