Oliver "Olly" Robert Lee (born July 11, 1991 in Hornchurch , London ) is an English football player who is under contract with Heart of Midlothian . He is the brother of soccer player Elliot Lee and son of former England international Rob Lee .

Career

Olly Lee was born in 1991 to Rob Lee in Hornchurch, a borough of London . His father was playing for the London club Charlton Athletic at this time . In his youth, Lee played for West Ham United . In 2009 he received his first professional contract with the Hammers. For the first team of the club, however, he was not used. From March to December 2011, the midfielder was loaned out to Dagenham & Redbridge . This was followed by a loan to Gillingham FC . After the contract with West Ham was not renewed, the 20-year-old moved to fourth division club FC Barnet in July 2012 . In March 2013, the second division Birmingham City loaned him . Although he had not come to any use in the second division in two months, Birmingham signed him for the coming season. From there, Lee was awarded again. With Plymouth Argyle and Luton Town there were two fourth division clubs. The Hatters from Luton signed him after the loan. In the 2017/18 season the club was runner-up and was promoted to the 3rd division. Lee played a big part in this as a regular player. In May 2018, Lee signed a three-year contract with the Scottish first division club Heart of Midlothian .
