Craig Halkett (born May 29, 1995 ) is a Scottish soccer player who is under contract with Heart of Midlothian .

Career

Craig Halkett, who began his career as a striker, played for Rosebank United and Glasgow Rangers in his youth . With the Rangers he won the Scottish Youth Cup in 2014 . For the first team of the Rangers Halkett remained without commitment. He was only on the bench in the league in February 2014 (once) and 2015 (twice). From September 2014 to January 2015 it was awarded to the Scottish fourth division club FC Clyde . Another year later he played on loan with the Berwick Rangers from England, who also played in the fourth Scottish division. In January 2016, Halkett moved to the second division FC Livingston . With the Lions from West Lothian , he was relegated at the end of the season . In the following year Livingston rose confidently as a third division champion back to the second division. With Halkett as a regular player in central defense, the club rose again in the following season .

He will join Heart of Midlothian at the end of the 2018/19 season .

National team

Craig Halkett played once in March 2014 in the Scottish U-19 against Switzerland . In the 4-2 victory in Livingston , the defender came on in the 57th minute for Cameron Burgess .
