Harry Cochrane (born April 24, 2001 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with Heart of Midlothian .

Career

Harry Cochrane was born in the Scottish metropolis of Glasgow in 2001 . Until 2014 he played in his hometown in the youth teams of the Glasgow Rangers . As of 2014, Cochrane played with Heart of Midlothian in Edinburgh . In June 2017, Cochrane signed his first professional contract with Hearts, which ran until 2020. During the preparation for the 2017/18 season , Cochrane was used in all games under Ian Cathro and scored a goal against Linfield FC . On September 30, 2017, the 8th day of the Scottish Premiership , Cochrane made his professional debut at the age of 16 in an away game at Dundee FC when he was in the starting line-up. In December, Cochrane took a 1-0 lead in a 4-0 win over Celtic Glasgow . The Hearts broke the British record of unbeaten games by Celtic, which had previously been unbeaten in 69 competitive games in Scotland. Cochrane himself broke the Hearts record for youngest scorer in the Scottish League with his goal when he was 16 years and 8 months old. In April 2018, Cochrane prematurely extended his contract with Hearts for three years. For the 2019/20 season he was initially awarded to the Scottish second division club Dunfermline Athletic . In January 2020, he returned to Hearts early.

National team

Harry Cochrane made his Scottish U-17 debut against Greece in March 2018 . In November 2018 he made his first appearance in the U-19 against Wales .
