Anthony McDonald (born March 17, 2001 in Kirkcaldy ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with Heart of Midlothian .

Career

Anthony McDonald was born in 2001 on the east coast of Scotland in Kirkcaldy . At the age of eight, he started playing football for Real Fife FC. He played for Livingston FC from 2011 to 2012 before joining Heart of Midlothian . Until 2017 he played in the youth teams of the Hearts. On 12 December 2017 the 18th day of the Scottish Premiership - season 2017/18 McDonald made his professional debut at the age of 16 years in the home match against FC Dundee when he was in the starting. He prepared Esmaël Gonçalves' opening goal . By the end of the season he came to twelve more missions. In April 2018, McDonald extended his contract with Hearts by three years until 2021. In January 2019, it was initially awarded to Inverness Caledonian Thistle . Then in the summer break of 2019 to Dunfermline Athletic . In January 2020, he returned to Hearts early.

National team

In March 2018, Anthony McDonald played for the Scottish U-17 against Greece as part of the qualification for the U-17 European Championship in England in 2018 , for which Scotland was unable to qualify.
