The Olympiastützpunkt Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is a cross-sport support and service facility for top-class sport for national team athletes and their coaches. The OSP Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania was founded in 1991.

Locations

The headquarters of the Olympic base is located at Kopernikusstraße 17 in Rostock . There are sports complexes in Rostock (rowing, diving, short track, sailing) as well as in Neubrandenburg (athletics, canoe racing, triathlon) and in Schwerin (boxing, volleyball, cycling).

Sports and areas of focus

Federal cadre athletes (ABC cadres) from ten Olympic sports are looked after by the OSP Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

The OSP Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania offers all national cadre athletes a holistic, sports medicine, physiotherapy, training science, sports psychology and social support program.

Elite schools of sport

The CJD Jugenddorf-Christophorusschule Rostock , the Sportgymnasium Neubrandenburg and the Sportgymnasium Schwerin are connected to the locations of the Olympic base as elite schools of sport .
