The Olympiastützpunkt Stuttgart (OSP) has been a cross-disciplinary support and service facility for high-performance sports for national team athletes and their coaches in the Stuttgart district of Bad Cannstatt since 1987 .
history
OSP Stuttgart was founded in 1987 and has been based in Neckarpark ever since .
In 2017 the basic agreement "Olympic training centers Baden-Wuerttemberg" was decided by the LSV that the sponsorship of the OSP 1 January 2018 with the signing Landessportverband Baden-Wuerttemberg changes. In addition to the OSP Stuttgart, the other Olympic bases in Baden-Württemberg ( OSP Freiburg-Black Forest , OSP Rhein-Neckar and OSP Tauberbischofsheim ) were also merged under the legal sponsorship of the Baden-Württemberg State Sports Association as part of the basic agreement.
The OSP Stuttgart is currently one of 18 German Olympic training centers .

Employees and cadre athletes
Around 20 full-time and part-time employees are employed at the OSP Stuttgart, who look after 300 federal cadre athletes (ABC cadre athletes).

- Shooting (in Pforzheim )
- Sailing (in Friedrichshafen )
- Tennis (in Stuttgart)
- Gymnastics (in Stuttgart)
- Trampoline gymnastics (in the Ruit sports school in Ostfildern - Ruit )
- Volleyball (f) and beach volleyball (in Stuttgart)
- Taekwondo and volleyball hall (m) (in Friedrichshafen).
Tasks and partners
The head office in Neckarpark is where the management and administration, career advice, central physiotherapy, training science (with the "KraftKompetenzCenter" opened in 2013 with modern training and diagnostic equipment) and sports medicine (internal medicine, performance diagnostics, orthopedics, radiology with MRI) are located ). For dual career planning, there is a network with career advice, an affiliated elite school of sports in Stuttgart, nine partner universities and eight partner companies. In addition, since September 1, 2016, the Baden-Württemberg State Police has been offering top-level sport-friendly training in the middle and higher-level police service.
